Suwanee's summer calendar ended last Saturday. October 31 was the last farmers market on the summer schedule of 8 a.m. to noon, and it was also the last day of the Big Splash season. The winter calendar starts this Saturday, November 7. From now on, downtown runs as two stages at once. Town Center Park on Buford Highway gets the ticketed events, some of them adults-only. Town Center on Main at 421 Main Street keeps the open events that work for all ages.
This first weekend shows the split clearly, and the same pattern repeats through December. Before you leave the house, figure out which park you're headed to and whether you need a ticket.
The weekend, park by park
| When | What | Where | Cost | Ages |

| Sat., Nov. 7, noon–4:30 p.m. | Suwanee Wine Festival, VIP session | Town Center Park | $150 plus fees, sold out | 21+ |
| Sat., Nov. 7, 1–4:30 p.m. | Suwanee Wine Festival, general admission | Town Center Park | $70 plus fees | 21+ |
| Sun., Nov. 8, 10 a.m.–2 p.m. | Suwanee Classic Car Show | Town Center on Main | Free to attend | All |
| Sun., Nov. 8, 1–1:30 p.m. | Veterans Memorial Celebration | Greater Good Veterans Memorial, Town Center on Main | Open to the community | All |
Saturday is split in time and in place. The market wraps up on the Main Street side by 11 a.m., and the wine festival's VIP gates open at Town Center Park an hour later. Sunday happens entirely at Town Center on Main.
The market gets shorter and less frequent
The City of Suwanee's farmers market page lists the summer market every Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon, May through October. The winter market runs on select Saturdays from 9 to 11 a.m., November through April. That cuts each market from four hours to two, and it's no longer every weekend.
The winter dates posted so far:
- November 7
- November 21
- December 5
- December 19
- January 9, 2027
The market now ends by 11 a.m., so you can do it as a quick morning errand and still have the afternoon free. If you go at 10:30 on a summer schedule, you'll arrive with half an hour left.
Town Center Park is adults-only on Saturday afternoon
The 13th annual Suwanee Wine Festival is put on by the same organizers as the Suwanee American Craft Beer Fest. It features more than 150 wines picked by TopShelf Beverage, plus a Georgia winery section, live music, local artisan vendors, and food from area restaurants and food trucks. If you don't drink wine, there are ready-to-drink cocktails, seltzers and beer.
The rules make this weekend's split complete. The city's event listing says the festival is 21 and older only, with no babies in strollers and no pets. On a typical weekend, families and dog walkers make up much of the crowd at Town Center Park. This Saturday afternoon, they'll need to go elsewhere.
Ticket details on the BigTickets event page, at press time:
- General admission: $70 plus a $5.57 fee, for the 1 to 4:30 p.m. session
- VIP: $150 plus a $10.18 fee, listed as sold out. It includes noon entry, a private tasting and dining tent, higher-end wines, a catered meal from Marlow's Tavern, a T-shirt, a glass and a goody bag
- Designated driver: $25 plus a $2.98 fee
The festival's own site also shows a $75 day-of price, though that ticket card is dated November 8 while every event listing says November 7. The ticketing page recommends Uber or Lyft for anyone drinking and says parking is available in and around Town Center Park.
Where the stroller crowd goes instead
On Saturday afternoon, the all-ages side of downtown is Town Center on Main. PlayTown Suwanee is right next to it: close to an acre of swings, slides and sandboxes that the city recently rebuilt. Main Street Park at 687 Main Street reopened August 1 after a renovation. It now has a steel pavilion, a new lawn, a refinished basketball court, more seating and more parking, so it's a good place to stop between the two parks.
If you planned to walk the greenway from downtown, check before you go. The city's parks page lists the Portland Drive trailhead near Town Center as closed until its boardwalk is repaired, and it gives no reopening date.
Sunday moves everything to Main Street
The Suwanee Classic Car Show, presented by HappyFeat, fills Town Center on Main and DeLay Nature Park from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The city allows up to 180 cars, including muscle cars, street rods, exotics and imports, plus live music, food and racing merchandise vendors. Admission is free. Registering a car costs $35 in advance or $40 on the day, and the city notes that the slots fill quickly.
At 1 p.m., while the car show is still going, the Suwanee Creek Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution holds a half-hour Veterans Memorial Celebration at the Greater Good Veterans Memorial. It's open to veterans, their families and anyone else who wants to attend. If you want to see both, arrive at the car show late in the morning and walk over around 12:45.
Eating between the two stages
Both parks have places nearby that are open this weekend. The hours below come from each business's own site:
- Bloom Room, 350 Town Center Ave., Suite 100A. Open weekends 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. On November 7 it's hosting a Pilates-and-mimosas event from 10 a.m. to noon for $30, limited to 30 guests. That's an adults' brunch running right across the street from the wine festival setup.
- Suwanee Social, 350 Town Center Ave. #100. Opens at 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday and stays open until midnight, so it works after the festival lets out at 4:30.
- StillFire Brewing, 343 U.S. 23. The Suwanee taproom is open Saturday noon to midnight and Sunday noon to 9 p.m. StillFire is also on the wine festival's sponsor list.
- Suwanee Circle, the food truck park at Town Center on Main that opened in spring 2026. It has an outdoor bar, TVs and a small stage for acoustic music. The city lists its hours as 6 to 10 p.m. Wednesday through Friday and 5 to 10 p.m. on weekends. The trucks rotate, so check Suwanee Circle's website for who's coming.
On Saturday, Suwanee Circle doesn't open until 5 p.m., after the festival ends. So the Main Street side's evening crowd and the Town Center Park afternoon crowd won't overlap.
December runs the same way
After this weekend, the two-stage pattern keeps going. On several dates, events at the two parks happen at nearly the same time:
| Date | Town Center Park | Town Center on Main |
|---|---|---|
| Sat., Nov. 14 | Art on the Run: Suwanee Turkey Trot 5K, 9 a.m.–noon | None listed |
| Sat., Nov. 21 | None listed | Winter Farmers Market, 9–11 a.m. |
| Fri., Dec. 4 | Jolly Holly Day, 6–9 p.m. Santa arrives at 6:30, tree lighting at 8 | None listed |
| Sat., Dec. 5 | HappyFeat Run, Run Rudolph 5K, 9–11 a.m. | Winter Farmers Market, 9–11 a.m. |
| Sat., Dec. 12 | Swapna Vijayam Nutcracker Ballet, 6–8 p.m. | None listed |
| Sat., Dec. 19 | None listed | Winter Farmers Market, 9–11 a.m. |
December 5 is the clearest case of the season's schedule. The Run, Run Rudolph 5K at Town Center Park and the winter market at Town Center on Main run during the exact same two hours, 9 to 11 a.m. A household with a runner and a market shopper will be in two places that morning. The city's calendar also lists an electronics recycling event on November 14 from 9 a.m. to noon, the same morning as the Turkey Trot.
One older listing is still online. A Jolly Holly page shows a December 6, 2025 date and describes a two-day event. The 2026 listing is a single evening, Friday, December 4.
Two new food spots are in the works nearby. The city is renovating Pierce's Corner, a circa-1909 building at 597 Main Street, for a future restaurant. WhatNow Atlanta reported that a Super Chix at 7140 McGinnis Ferry Road was nearing completion, with an opening expected later this year. Neither had an opening date at press time.
